Ginger Fish

Ingredients:

Thorn-less fish

-

10 to 12 pieces

Onions (sliced)

-

2

Cumin  

-

1/4 tbsp

Ginger

-

1/2 cup finely ground

Garlic

-

8 flakes

Soya sauce

-

2 tbsp

Coconut milk

-

1 cup

Water

-

1 1/2 cups

Green chillies (slit lengthwise)

-

4 to 5

Turmeric

 

1/4 tsp

Chilli powder

-

1 tsp

Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

-

one bunch

Oil

-

2 tsp

Salt

-

To taste

 

Method:

1.  Soak cleaned fish cubes with soya sauce, ginger paste, salt and turmeric. Set aside for at least 1/2 an hour.

2.  Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin, once it crackles add the chopped onion.

3.  Fry onion till becoming light brown. Then, add chilli powder, green chillies and the remaining ginger paste.

4.  Add soaked fish and salt. Cover and Cook on a medium flame till fish is well cooked.

5.  Garnish with coriander leaves.
