Story
reminds of previous movies, Gentlemen, Citizen and the latest
Devan. But these are bound to be there when you project a hero
who portrays himself to cleanse society.
With his handsome carefully maintained physique and his sparkling
eyes Vikram is all set to score again in “Samurai”, Thyagu (vikram)
with four are behind kidnaps, be politicians, bureaucrat, where
anarchy is on the rise this gang strikes. Though the characters
are to be fictitious, one portrayed reminds of a fodder scam politician.
A lengthy climax asking the supreme law to give its verdict against
the offender gives a new leash to creative thinking.
For a change the director has chosen medical student to do the
cleansing work. (Society) Realizing the medicines supplied to
the Hospital is spurious. Kavitha (Jaya Seel) Thyagu’s colleague
takes it up with the Dean, finding 12 year old mechanic boy who
died on medicine scandal. Finding her outcry futile. As she was
not able even impress thyagu to rise against anarchy, she resort
to lighting herself giving birth Samurai’s (valiant soldier).
Kudos to the team Balaji Sakthivel (director) for keeping up the
tempo, Sethu Sriram (Cinematographer) bringing pleasant nature,
water falls, ravines, a real visual exponent & Thota yadhu
dharani (art) gives additional fine-tuning to the movie. The same
could not be told about Harris Jeyaraj (music) who fails to make
any impression except for the last song.
Vikram dream run continues with “Samurai” …Samurai…. a real soldier.
