God is teaching you to live in the world. Nothing is a substitute for experience. Experience guides you towards perfecting your life. All experiences are aimed at mellowing you and bringing out the real you from within. There is no need to carry a feeling of self-pity or guilt at whatever happens in life. Proceed to the next step, knowing that you have grown as a person. But ensure you do not repeat the same mistakes; there is something definitely wrong in repeating the same mistakes.
