Equality
- Ramya

Equality I gave you more so that you could pass it on
I gave you infinite ego to protect others not harm
I gave you beauty so that you see my reflection
I gave you wealth so that you could serve the needy
I gave you abundant happiness so that you could wipe other's tears
I gave you all so that you respect all
but alas you failed me ,more so

Now I have begun my search for a new you
Whom I have to give all again,
But this time I learn from past
I will give but only to a few
One who has a heart that reaches with love
one who doesn't smirk at other's sorrows
or snide other's handicap
one who treats all equal

For in my kingdom all are beautiful
For in my creation flaws are for a purpose Not known to you and all
Now you tell all that i have failed you
you go on a search for me

I came to your house many a times
Dressed as a small girl asking for help
you but were overcome with pride,so haughty not kind
I came to your house yet again crying at my fate
you again when i needed you most turned your face
I ran pillar to post trying to save my most beloved
you yet again were there a mere onlooker ,unmoved
you never saw that each time it was me in another form

For that is the beauty of my creation unknown to all
when a great man fell, he neednt be known to all
he neednt be the tallest of all,
he was the humblest of all,a child I loved
it is enough that he is known to me, the sweetest of all
I dont judge by his looks or by wealth
I but do judge by his heart,a heart that gave unknown to all.

So tomorrow's may come and may fade as yesterdays
and future in your world will tell
that there lived a child so precious, so true
that he lived a life of piety
people judged him by his talk ,thats your world
but in mine I judge not, for each time you judge
you are judged too,
so i took him high up to my place
to be with me to press his tired feet
let the man rest ,in my arms ,in my kingdom
my doors were open to receive a man so pure
all my angels danced to see him back so true
so i the master of all bow my head to this great son of mine
he is now the sun of my place ,a star in my night sky....
